🇹🇷 1. Turkish “Çılbır” (Garlic Skyr with Poached Eggs)

5 minutes to make.

  • The Base: Spread 3–4 tablespoons of your Milbona Skyr into the bottom of a shallow bowl. Whisk it with a tiny pinch of salt and a very small grating of fresh garlic.
  • The Protein: Top the skyr with 1 or 2 poached or soft-boiled eggs.
  • The Flavour: Melt a tiny knob of butter (or use olive oil) in a pan with a teaspoon of Aleppo pepper flakes (pul biber) or smoked paprika until it fizzes and turns bright red. Drizzle this warm spiced oil over the eggs and skyr.
  • virtually zero carbohydrates and massive amounts of protein to anchor your glucose for the day.

🇱🇧 2. Lebanese Labneh-Style Savoury Bowl

  • The Base: Dollop 4 tablespoons of Milbona Skyr into a bowl.
  • The Toppings: Drizzle with a tablespoon of good extra virgin olive oil and a generous spoonful of za’atar spice mix (thyme, sesame seeds, and sumac). Top with diced cucumber, a few cherry tomatoes, and fresh mint leaves.
  • The Add-in: Toss in a small handful of canned chickpeas (washed and drained) for texture, or serve it with a homemade chickpea flatbreads or a single slice of your upgraded frozen-and-toasted seed loaf.

🇲🇽 3. Mexican Skyr Scramble or “Huevos Rancheros” Skillet

  • The Base: Whisk 2 eggs with a pinch of chili powder and cumin, then scramble them in a pan with a handful of spinach and a few black beans.
  • The Protein Swap: If you want a break from eggs, swap them for crumbled firm tofu or Quorn pieces fried with fajita seasoning and tomatoes.
  • The Finish: Plate it up and top it with a massive dollop of your cold Milbona Skyr ( like sour cream) and half a smashed avocado or fresh salsa.

🇮🇳 4. Indian-Spiced Tofu or Egg Bhurji (Scramble)

  • The Base: Sauté a finely chopped small red onion, a bit of ginger, garlic, and a green chili in a pan.
  • The Protein: Add a pinch of turmeric, cumin, and garam masala, then add either 2 beaten eggs or 150g of crumbled firm tofu/Quorn pieces. Stir-fry until cooked through.
  • The Finish: Fold in fresh coriander and a squeeze of lime juice. Serve a dollop of cold Milbona Skyr on the side to cool down the spice.
